Services include but are not limited to new builds, renovations, extensions, commercial construction, brickwork, loft conversions, landscape gardening, design and build, architectural drawings, bathroom installations, and home extensions and conversions.

All services are subject to a separate written agreement or contract between you and Hale & Co, which will detail the specific scope of work, timelines, and costs.

3. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotations are based on the information provided to us and a site assessment. Any changes to the scope of work may result in revised pricing.
  • Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • A deposit may be required to secure your project in our schedule. The amount will be agreed upon in your project contract.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms will be set out in your project contract.
  • For larger projects, staged payments may be agreed upon at key milestones.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer and other methods as agreed.
  • Late payments may be subject to statutory interest charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Project Timelines

We will provide estimated timelines for your project based on the agreed scope of work. While we make every effort to complete projects on schedule, timelines may be affected by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, supply chain delays, unforeseen structural issues, or changes requested by the client.

We will keep you informed of any significant changes to the agreed timeline.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

  • All work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with current building regulations.
  • Structural work is typically covered by a warranty period as detailed in your project contract.
  • Any defects arising from our workmanship reported within the warranty period will be rectified at no additional cost.
  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or subsequent alterations by third parties.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Providing accurate and complete information regarding the project requirements.
  • Ensuring access to the property for our team during agreed working hours.
  • Obtaining any necessary planning permissions or consents (unless agreed otherwise).
  • Making payments in accordance with the agreed payment schedule.

8. Cancellation

Either party may cancel or terminate a project contract by providing written notice. In the event of cancellation:

  • Payment will be due for all work completed and materials ordered up to the date of cancellation.
  • Any deposit paid will be applied towards costs incurred. Refunds of unused portions may be available depending on the circumstances.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hale & Co (Royal Oak Investments Limited) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services. Our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the contract for the relevant project.
